Job Description

The Finance Analyst is responsible for the financial health of operations in the Ghana cluster, based in Abidjan. This role involves overseeing financial planning, financial analysis, reporting, managing financial risks, financial modelling, and reviewing client deals and business cases. The Finance Analyst reports to the WCA Head of Finance, supporting Ghana and WCA overall business priorities. Key responsibilities include: Financial Management (month-end/quarter-end/year-end reporting for Ghana P&L and WCA Opex, budgeting/forecasting, bad debt strategies, revenue management support, continuous improvement); Revenue Analytics and Business Partnering (analysis of key business drivers, modelling/review of client deals, Finance review of incentive contracts); Compliance and Governance (ensuring deals and approval-to-spend requests comply with policies, data integrity, organized documentation, budget guidance); and Relationship Management (partnering with business and regional teams, aligning priorities, building relationships with finance business partners). The role aims to deliver financial excellence, drive business growth, ensure alignment on financial performance, and maintain compliance.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD). Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years with an Advanced Degree. Leadership: 2 years of work experience in a multinational business environment and a bachelor’s degree or an Advanced Degree. Past experience in Payment Technology, Consulting, FMCG, or Telecom is highly desirable. Must be proactive, high-energy, motivated team player with strong communication skills, ability to build relationships, work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with virtual teams. Technical: Degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred. Strong FP&A skills including forecasting, financial data analysis, and basic financial modelling experience. Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required; experience in Power BI, IBM Cognos TM1, Hyperion, and conceptual knowledge of financial databases is beneficial. Business: Financial/commercial analysis/FP&A experience from within a large, multi-national, publicly traded corporation. Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills, attentive to detail, highly organized, and focused on quality of output.
